I meant to write a review of Sakagura for ages, but yesterday's trip was the last drop! Sakagura, as the website indicates is for Sake connoisseurs and Japanese cuisine aficionados. The selection of Sake is really impressive and if this is not your cup of tea, trust me, the food would be enough to keep you coming back for more.
The place is hidden in the office building and if you are not paying attention, it is hard to miss. Making a reservation is often recommended since the place is always booked, including the bar seating.
The food is divine, with each plate having a perfectly balanced ingredients that melt in your mouth and make you as an inevitable question: "Why don't I come here more often?" My usual answer is I would, but it's just hard to get in last minute...
The customer service is immaculate and everyone is not always kind and always helpful, they are also very knowledgeable about their menu, so gluten free options are available and they are to die for.
As you can see, I have not taken many pictures and that's only because there was simply no time. The food is really to die for!
For those of you who want to eat delicious gluten free food in New York City, find the time and check out this place. I promise you, you will love it!
Cheers,
Sasha
